Durant

Handicaps:
Manifestation (A Limit of Domain): As a fundamental limit, placed by his Imperator (perhaps due to his alignment with the Wild, rather than the Light), Alexander is unable to affect sweeping changes across the Prosaic Earth. Though he can lay claim to introducing the current generation of Hybrid vehicles (via an anchor), his previous attempts at bringing fully electric cars to market failed disastrously. Alexander's effect on society is slow and subtle, with a few breakthroughs here and there.

Artisan (Virtue): Alexander turns out nothing less than perfect works. Nothing can force his to put his crafter's mark on something incomplete, cursed, poisoned, flawed, or otherwise unsatisfactory. He does not gain extra skill with the craft, but has an uncanny sense for when something is "not done" to his standard.

Bonds:
4 points: The sanctity of his Estate, Progress
4 points: His daughter, Jennifer Nikolaidias-Stratford
3 points: Corporate responsibility
3 points: His love and anchor, Jeanne D. Stratford
2 points: His corporate rival and anchor, Darren Meinhardt
2 points: The safety of his Familia Caelestis
2 points: His stock portfolio, which he tends to like a garden

Affiliation: The Wild
1. Freedom is the highest principle.

Background:
The night sky loomed overhead, threatening a downpour every few seconds. Alexander glared up, as if daring it to rain on his two-piece suit. He glanced down at his watch, five past seven, and then out into the street. It seemed that Jeanne had been held up somewhere. He reached into his suit jacket's pocket and fingered the cellphone, wondering if she was late enough to merit a call. He glanced over his shoulder, back into the exclusive restaurant where they had planned to dine tonight and sighed. Both of them were so busy that they had little time for each other, so the pretence for tonight was Alexander's recent promotion to project manager.

Alexander glanced again at his watch after some time, five past eight. His phone-calls had gone unanswered and he had since decided that dropping in at Jeanne's apartment to make sure she was alright was a sound course of action. Unfortunately for Alex, he had parked his car a few blocks away, as the streets had been rather crowded at the time. His walk rather uneventful, but the supernal war being waged in the parking lot prevented him from doing little but hiding behind a burnt out pickup. Though the Noble managed to slay the Excrucian's monstrous anchor, his mechanical body was damaged beyond repair and his soul bereft of the will to work further miracles.

Azuriel has always been vague on precisely why Alexander was chosen to bear the soul-shard, but Alex has a sinking suspicion that it was simply because he was near and compatible, rather than any specialness of his own…
